Recipe of Shinwari Tikka Karahi

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken tikka

3 large tomatoes

2 medium onions

2 cloves of garlic

1 inch ginger

2 green chilies

1/2 tsp red chili powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil

1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves

Instructions:

Start by marinating the chicken tikka. Mix red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt in a bowl. Add the chicken tikka to the bowl and mix well to ensure that all the pieces are coated evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.

Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken tikka. Cook the chicken tikka on medium heat until it is golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add diced onions and cook until they are golden brown. Add minced garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.

Add diced tomatoes and green chilies to the pan. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and mushy.

Add 1/4 cup of water and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
